An Opportunity Takes Shape
In 1983, Prabha took a professorship at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. By day, he and Andy taught. By night, they worked on the many projects that came their way.
Another consulting group, The MAC Group, used Andy and Prabha to solve some size and alignment issues for Rustoleum. Andy tried to interest Booz Allen and MAC to partner: Andy and Prabha would provide the sales force analytics and the consulting firms would provide the sales and consultants. Neither firm expressed much interest, thus laying the foundation for “going for it on our own” and creating ZS.
Seeing an opportunity and seizing it continues to be a driving force behind ZS’s success.
