I joined PG as a summer intern in 2004 and had been assigned with my own project and trusted with great responsibilities for it. It provided me an opportunity to apply academic knowledge into the real business needs. I enjoyed the most is working with many talented and smart scientists from diverse cultures and backgrounds. It inspired me to be creative and yet concrete.

After this rewarding and challenging experience, I joined the company after my graduation in 2005. I believe PG, as one of the biggest global companies in the world and the most popular employer to graduates, is just the brilliant place to start my career.

When I was in Peking University 7 years ago, my major was physical chemistry and my research interests included: synthesis, characterization and application of new structured inorganic materials and nanoparticles.

I am currently responsible for all the Ariel and Tide formulae across China, Philippines, Malaysia, India and other key developing countries in Asia. I am also leading the global project for next wave formula for Ariel Tide in more than 30 countries to sever more than 3 billion consumer.

PG was the best choice after my graduation in 1999. Imagine someday your invention will be used by thousands of people, this feeling is much greater than to publish several papers in the journal. I really enjoy my work and I have got a lot of fun from it. In the meantime, by working together with the most capable people around the world, you are continuing to challenge and upgrade yourself. It is the place where you can have and achieve your dreams.

The diversity of PG is another amazing part of this company. In your project, you will work together with the colleagues from every part of the world, you have the opportunities to meet with the consumers in different countries and see the world. This is Chen Lei from Donghua University, Shanghai. Although I am from the south, I feel warm with the care of all sisters and brothers in Beijing Technical Center. When working in Baby Care, we are like a family and we have a family name of “Improving Life”. P&G provides us with a perfect global environment. I joined P&G in 2006 straight out of another multinational company in Manila, Philippines. Upon joining P&G, I already carry with me 3 years worth of technical management experience having previously handled process and packaging development jobs. But my true passion ever since was talking to and understanding consumers (in fact, I originally applied for a Marketing position). So when I was offered a job in Products Research, I immediately grabbed it.

What I love about Products Research, a job you can only find in P&G, is that it blends scientific knowledge with consumer understanding allowing you to expand your possibilities where your creativity is the only limit. This job really puts you in a role where you make a big difference to our consumers’ lives. As such, every minute in this work is really exciting and most importantly fulfilling. Along with P&G’s emphasis on daily coaching, rapid skills development, and meaningful work experiences, I can confidently say that I’m in the right job in the right company.
